The next group meet is at 11AM on every Tuesday at The Griffin pub, Stamford Road, Bowden, Altrincham WA14 2TP. There is a free car park and food and drink can be purchased in the pub.
Learning chess can be mentally stimulating for retired people. It requires concentration, problem-solving, and strategic thinking, all of which help keep the mind sharp. Moreover, studies have shown that playing chess can reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
