Our Interest Groups are the beating heart of our u3a and follow the Self-help Learning and Mutual Aid Principles - "by the members, for the members". We have a wide variety of Interest Groups that you might be interested in. Have a look at the groups we run and when they take place.
If you are interested in joining a group, but are not yet a member of Hale u3a, then you can attend an initial meeting to make sure that it is right for you. And that goes for each of our Groups.
Then you can join and get the benefit of not only being part of a Group, but also getting access to everything else Hale u3a has to offer. Details of how to do this can be found on our Membership page.
Our "Go With" Group
This group is a little different to our other groups. It is there to try and help people to find others to "go with" to an event. This group is for sharing spare tickets or for members wanting to ‘go with’ someone somewhere. It can be to anything, or even a spare seat to share petrol.
If you would like to be on the mailing list to receive invitations to go to events then email myself via the link on the Go With Group and I will add you to our group.
If you have a spare ticket or an event that you would like to go to with company then you can also email myself via the same link and I will circulate this around this group. If your offer is taken up then I will put you in email contact with each other to arrange the visit.
