We have had some very successful outings and are a friendly group of men and women who share similar ideas for group activity. We have been all over the place in our first year ! (Some of the best below)
Flying Horse.Rochdale/Old Roebuck.Alty/Boars Head.Stockport/Britons Protection.City/Pickering Arms.Thelwall/Marble Arch.City
Every month we have lunch at a different venue with our members discussing new suggestions - either at the lunch meeting or through our discussions by text.
Although we are a group of just less than a dozen we do not want to get too big because of the size of some of the old pubs we visit. However we may have room for one or two more members. All we require of our group is that they are U3a members who are interested in traditions and pubs and are prepared to join in our discussions and coordinate a visit to a pub sometime during the year. (If nothing else we have discovered new friends and a raft of lunch venues of character!)
Sometimes we visit by train or metro but sometimes car share - we are very flexible!
Anyone interested in joining should email Steve using the address with this information.
