Ethics 3 was set up in December 2023.   Presently there are 7 members and we have integrated well and would welcome any other u3a members who would like to join us.   

Meetings take place on the first Friday of the month.   The venue is Capuchin Coffee and the address is 22 Victoria Road, Hale (by the side of the railway station).  Parking nearby is reasonably accessible.  Capuchin make a room available to us from 10.30 am until approximately mid-day.   The cost of the room is paid for if we all buy a coffee/tea and either a cake or pastry.   The aim being that for each meeting Capuchin make about £30.

Subjects discussed so have included The Elgin Marbles; Paper- the use or waste of; Electric cars;

Freedom of Speech; The National Trust.  Ideas we have for future discussions are Truth and Honesty, the ethics/morality of wealth (think footballers) and Euthanasia with more ideas in the pipeline.
