Welcome to the U3A Hale & District Walking Football Group.

We are currently looking to build our membership and look forward to welcoming members to our first session.

The group is open to all U3A members irrespective of footballing talent or experience.

You will need to bring your own sports kit, including indoor training shoes and don’t forget about a water bottle for hydration.

Walking Football is a fun, friendly and low-impact way to get moving. A slower-paced version of football designed for over-55s who want to stay active and enjoy the beautiful game at a more relaxed pace. Perfect for all abilities. The format will be 5-A-Side with rolling substitutes to allow everyone a break when they need it.

Our weekly session takes place at 11.00am every Tuesday in the indoor sports hall at Move Altrincham (Altrincham Leisure Centre).
The cost is £4.15.

To book your place simply download the Move app (find it as ‘TWMove’), set up your ‘Pay as you go’ account and then follow these instructions:

·      Select ‘Altrincham’ as your Move location

·      Click on the icon ‘Book’ at the bottom of the page

·      Select ‘Classes’ (at top left of page)

·      Select ‘Tuesday’ (from days at top of page)

·      Scroll down to 11.00am.
