Our Events

Come and meet us at our Monthly Meetings. But that's not all we do. We hold Social Events (Quizzes, dances, wine tasting , etc..), many of which you can join in with as a prospective member. We also organise days out to places of interest and the occasional holiday. These are very popular and so are restricted to members only.

See the Events page to see what is coming up.

Our Newsletter is also a good source of information about what is going on. See below.

Comments from a couple of our members

I joined the local Altrincham area group earlier this year and I am loving it. In our local group, an annual subscription of £12 gets one access its all its activities that vary from Ancestry to playing the Ukulele (three groups!). I was mostly interested in doing local walks and now do up to 3 a month. The walks are great fun, great company, great exercise and loads of fresh air.

I have an old and trusted friend in Walking Group 3 who also recommended Hale U3A. I also have a couple of friends who are members of other groups which they enjoy and so I thought that I would like to give it a try. Hale U3A seems to be a lively group with an abundance of options; joining in interesting activities with like-minded people, what is not to like!?

Thinking about the general appeal of U3A, then I am sure that many people, after retirement, realise that we need to make the most of every opportunity afforded to us. Many of us are too busy during our working life, with work and family commitments to enjoy all the things that we would like to do. These are the years now, where we can relax and look after ourselves more and U3A offers those opportunities for us all.
